What is RWS audit?
Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certification applies to all supply chain sites of wool from the farm, processing of wool, assembly of the final products, up to the seller in the last business-to-business transaction. Farms are certified to the Animal Welfare and Land Management Modules of the RWS.
RWS is pressing for a progressive approach to animal and environmental welfare. Give the industry a tool to recognize farming best practices. Make sure that wool comes from farms that take a progressive approach to land management and respect animal welfare. Ensure strong chain of custody for certified materials as they move along the supply chain.

Is RWS ethical?
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a label designed to market wool as ethical in the face of mounting criticism about animal welfare and environmental issues uncovered in the industry. Although farmers pay levies to Textile Exchange to be included, RWS certification is voluntary and supposedly independent.
